Barrett Distribution is proud to announce the addition of a new fulfillment and distribution center in Baltimore, MD. Barrett will be providing warehousing, distribution and transportation services for a Canadian based food manufacturer from this new Mid-Atlantic facility. Barrett was awarded the business due to their comprehensive analysis of the customer’s business which included a network study of company’s entire North American supply chain. From this analysis, Barrett developed a network solution that lowered costs, increased visibility, and provided a one-touch solution for all of North America for the customer. Barrett will be hiring several dozen new employees to engineer and manage this operation in Baltimore.
“We have been very pleased with the expansion of our third party logistics services in the greater Baltimore area and this new facility will provide dedicated and shared food grade warehousing and distribution services under one roof,” said Senior Vice President Scott Hothem. “Baltimore has been a key market for us for some time and we are excited about the expanded capacity this new 275,000 sq. ft. facility provides us in Maryland.”
