Logistics Industry Optimistic About Economic Recovery

Thankfully signs indicate movement toward economic recovery. In the news, there are reports of new housing starts, and in some areas of the country demand is exceeding supply of new homes. The stock market has been enjoying new highs, and during conversations with colleagues within the logistics industry there is optimism. More companies are looking for 3PL solutions for their warehousing and transportation needs. During our participation at recent industry trade events, including Food Shippers of America and the 2013 Georgia Logistics Summit, we’ve been happy to hear from other third party logistics providers who have shared their stories pointing to improvement in the overall economy. We look forward to upcoming events such as the WERC Conference in Dallas, Texas where we will hear from logistics professionals what the industry expects as the recovery continues. Surely there are hurdles yet to overcome, but certainly we might all agree that things are definitely looking up!
