Bob complained that it was cold in Phoenix, but was all praise for the Food Shippers Logistics Conference, and he is already making plans to go to next year’s event in Orlando, FL. He said the conference was well attended, he met with a number of shippers and other Third Party Logistics providers from around the country. Speakers covered topics such as highway infrastructure, intermodal chassis, natural gas, retail fulfillment and warehousing trends. Bob feels strongly that Food Shippers is one of the best networking opportunities for 3PL providers.
This coming weekend, Bob and Gene will travel to Chicago for the International Home and Housewares Show (IHH) at McCormick Place in Chicago. This event is also attended by a number of 3rd party logistics companies offering solutions to exhibitors for their domestic and global public warehousing and transportation needs. It is a huge showcase of manufacturers and suppliers of anything and everything imaginable for your home from small appliances to gourmet food items.
